toothless

help. i've started dreaming about losing my teeth. here is what one dream analyst concludes. some of it seems applicable.

my dreams went like this:

first head-trip, about 2 weeks ago - i was with dalton and some of his pals and we were eating some kind of hard candy. as i was chewing, i felt my teeth start to crumble. i spit them into my hand and panic ensued. no one else seemed particularly concerned about it, as i madly tried to find myself a dentist.

next nightmare, last night (warning: not for the faint of heart) - the details are a bit fuzzy, but there was a man with a stapler and he stapled into my gums, right above my top front teeth. i know. it was horrifying. i couldn't get to a mirror for what seemed like hours, and when i finally did, my gums had swelled around the staple. i tried to dig it out, and when i finally got a grip on it, one of my front teeth and a sizable layer of the other came out with it.

could someone please psychoanalyze me? thanks.

I'm not going to psychoanalyze your dreams, I'm just going to sympathize. I seem to have teeth dreams after I floss. The dreams are usually just comprised of loose teeth or moving teeth followed quickly by teeth that have fallen out. It freaks me out too!

"Karen, take me to your dentist. I feel my teeth are dull and people are laughing at me."

But for real, that last dream sounds like something out of the Saw movies.

As you know, because you've known me for like 10 years, I'm not a dream analyst. my aunt as studied it though, and I have been fascinated by this and read lots of literature on it. If I recall right the loss of teeth can mean a couple of things. One, it could mean That you have said something behind someone's back (but that doesn't seem like the Shanny I know). But to some, we relate our teeth our power and communication. We are embarrassed with our teeth falling out, but also it makes it hard for us to communicate. It also feels like a lessening of our power because we can't speak our minds. It's also could have something to do with feelings about appearance.

I wonder if the man stapling your man means someone might be stopping you from expressing yourself or make you feel like someone is hindering your power?

Just some thoughts. But only you really could know what they mean, what hits home and what sounds right. Those could totally be wrong! Hope you figure it out and the terrible dreams stop!
